Greg Hedgepeth is a seasoned marketing and communications professional, higher ed leader, adjunct professor, speaker, and social entrepreneur. A Halifax County, NC native and first-generation college graduate, Greg holds degrees in Economics and Management & Leadership and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Learning and Organizational Change.

He serves as Director of Marketing and Communications at NC State University’s Graduate School and is the President & CEO of Substantial Media, LLC, an award-winning Black-owned multimedia platform dedicated to amplifying Black and Brown voices and addressing issues impacting these communities. With over 16 years in higher education marketing, Greg is also a certified digital marketer, former law enforcement officer, husband, and proud father of two. His work has earned recognition nationwide for both educational impact and community advocacy.
